1. 株式会社などが利益の一部を株主に対して分配する金銭。

企業が稼いだ利益の一部を株主に還元するお金のことです。一般的には定期的に支払われます。

The company paid a large dividend to its shareholders last year. (その会社は昨年、株主に対して多額の配当を支払った。)

2. 割り算において、割られる数。

割り算の計算で、割られる側の数のことを指します。例えば、10 ÷ 2 = 5 の場合、10がdividendです。

In the equation 10 ÷ 2 = 5, 10 is the dividend. (計算式10 ÷ 2 = 5において、10が割られる数（被除数）です。)
