「fair territory」は、野球やソフトボールにおいて、本塁から外野へ伸びる2本のファウルラインの内側にある競技場の領域を指します。この区域内に打球が落ちたり転がったりした場合、それは「フェア」と判定され、プレイが続行されます。打球がこの区域外に出た場合は「ファウル」と判定されます。
