1. 墓を荒らしたり死体を食べるとされる悪霊や怪物、食屍鬼。

墓を暴いて死体を食べる想像上の生物や、そのような悪霊、または死体から肉を食べる怪物を指す言葉です。

According to legend, ghouls lurk in graveyards, feeding on the recently deceased. (伝説によると、グールは墓地に潜み、最近亡くなった人々を食料とする。)
