1. 介入する、助けに入る

誰かが困っている状況や問題が発生している状況に対して、行動を起こして関与することを表します。多くの場合、助けたり解決したりする意図があります。

When the argument got heated, I had to step in and mediate. (議論が白熱した時、私は介入して仲裁しなければならなかった。)

ある場所に一時的に入ったり、立ち寄ったりする動作を表します。特に、建物や部屋の中に入る際に使われます。
