1. コンピュータのファイルシステムにおいて、ファイルや他のディレクトリを整理・格納するための論理的な場所。

コンピュータ内でファイルや他のサブディレクトリを階層的に整理し、アクセスしやすくするための仮想的な入れ物です。Windowsでは「フォルダ」と呼ばれることもあります。

Please save the document in the 'Documents' directory. (そのドキュメントを「Documents」ディレクトリに保存してください。)

• Please save: 「～を保存してください」という依頼を表します。
• the document: 特定の「文書」を指します。
• in the: 「～の中に」という場所を示します。
