1. 構造主義を批判的に継承・発展させ、言語、意味、知識、権力などの固定性や安定性を問い直す20世紀後半の思想運動。

構造主義が前提とする固定された構造や普遍的な意味の存在に対して疑問を投げかけ、テキストや言説の多義性、読み手の役割、社会的・歴史的文脈における権力関係が意味形成に与える影響などを深く考察する思想です。ジャック・デリダ、ミシェル・フーコー、ジュリア・クリステヴァなどが主要な論者として挙げられます。
