1. 古代の大型軍船、特に櫂で漕ぐ船、または船や航空機、キャンピングカーなどの厨房・調理室。

主に古代や中世の、多くの櫂で動く大型軍船（ガレー船）を指すほか、現代の船、航空機、あるいはキャンピングカーなどの限られたスペースにある調理室、つまり「厨房」の意味で使われます。
