何かがある時点である特定の状態にあることを指します。物理的な状態、精神的な状態、状況など、幅広く使われます。複数形(conditions)で「状況」「周囲の環境」という意味でもよく使われます。

特定の合意や契約、あるいは何かを達成するために満たされなければならない要件や前提を指します。特に契約書などでは、複数形(conditions)で「契約条件」や「約款」という意味で使われます。
