1. 過去に存在した、複数の大陸が集合してできた非常に大きな大陸塊。

地質学の分野で使われる用語で、地球の歴史上、複数の現在の大陸が結合して形成された非常に広大な大陸塊を指します。プレートテクトニクスによって分離・移動する前の地球の陸地配置を理解する上で重要な概念です。
