1. 率直に話す、直接的に言う

自分の意見や意図を遠回しに言わず、はっきりと直接的に伝えることを促す際に使われます。

If you have something to say, just be direct about it. (何か言いたいことがあるなら、ただ率直に言いなさい。)

2. 行動が真っ直ぐで迷いがない、脇道に逸れない

遠回りせず、目的地や目標に対して真っ直ぐに進むことを表します。

He decided to be direct and walk straight to the station. (彼は真っ直ぐ行くことに決め、駅まで真っ直ぐ歩いた。)

• be direct: 真っ直ぐ行く、遠回りしない
