設定された規則、権威、または標準に厳密に従うことを表します。たとえ不満があったとしても、期待されている通りに行動する状況で使われます。比喩的に、船が曳航索(tow line)に沿って進むように、決められた経路や指示から逸脱せずに従うイメージです。
