1. 驚くべきこと、不思議なこと

非常に驚くべきこと、または見事で不思議なものを指す場合に使われます。自然現象、人間の創造物、出来事など、感嘆を引き起こす対象を表します。

The Grand Canyon is a natural marvel of the world. (グランドキャニオンは世界の自然の驚異である。)
