1. 政府や権威に対する武力行使や反抗。または一般的な権威や規則に対する反抗。

国家や体制、あるいは権威や既存のルールなどに逆らい、それに抵抗する行動や状態全般を指します。物理的な武力による大規模な「反乱」や「暴動」だけでなく、規則や親の言うことに従わないといった個人的な「反抗」も含まれます。
