1. 機械やシステムなどを操作・制御するための装置や機器。

機械やシステム、ゲームなどを操作・制御するための装置や機器を指す場合に使われます。物理的なものから、システムの中の制御モジュールなどを指すこともあります。

Connect the controller to the console. (コントローラーをゲーム機に接続してください。)
