1. 建物や他の構造物の基礎となる、下部にある構造。

建物や他の大きな構造物を支える、地面の下や主要な構造物の下にある基盤や土台の部分を指します。通常、目には見えにくいですが、全体の安定性にとって不可欠な部分です。
