1. 水差しやピッチャーなど、取っ手と注ぎ口のある容器。

液体（特に水や牛乳、ジュースなど）を中に保持し、コップなどに注ぎ出すための取っ手と注ぎ口が付いた容器を指します。陶器、ガラス、プラスチック製など様々な素材があります。
