1. 核攻撃などの際に、爆撃や放射線から身を守るための施設。

第二次世界大戦中や冷戦時代によく聞かれた言葉で、核兵器や空襲から身を守るための地下や強化された建物内部にある避難施設を指します。現代ではそこまで一般的ではありませんが、その概念は依然として存在します。
