1. 作品のもう一つの結末

映画、小説、ゲームなどの作品において、公式に公開された結末とは異なる、もう一つの、あるいは複数の結末を指します。これは、制作段階で検討されたり、DVD特典として公開されたり、ファンによって想像されたりすることがあります。

The director released an alternate ending for the film on the DVD. (監督はDVDでその映画の別エンディングを公開しました。)

• released: 公開した、発表したという意味です。
• an alternate ending: もう一つの、または異なる結末という意味です。
