1. 観察された事実から、最も妥当で、かつ最もらしい説明（仮説）を導き出す推論の一種。

アブダクティブ・リーズニングは、観察された事実や現象から、それらを最もよく説明する可能性のある仮説や原因を推論する思考プロセスです。特に情報が不完全な状況で、最善の推測を形成するために用いられます。これは必ずしも真実を保証するものではなく、他の説明も存在し得ますが、利用可能な証拠に基づいて最も合理的であると判断される結論を導き出します。
