1. 製品やシステムなどが実際に機能するか、問題がないかを検証する段階。

何か新しいもの（製品、システム、計画など）が実際に機能するか、問題がないかを検証する期間や段階を指します。開発の最終段階で行われることが多く、バグの発見や改善点の洗い出しが主な目的です。
