1. 自国や所属する組織、または支持していた人物などを見捨て、敵対する側に移る行為。裏切り。

個人が忠誠を誓っていた国、政党、組織などを放棄し、対立する側へ鞍替えする状況を表します。これは裏切り行為と見なされることが多いです。
