1. 熱可塑性樹脂を加熱して軟化させ、中空の型内で空気圧を用いて膨らませて成形する加工方法。

プラスチック材料を加熱して柔らかくし、風船のように膨らませて型に押し当てて、中が空洞の製品を作る技術です。主にボトルや容器、一部のおもちゃなどの製造に用いられます。
