1. 代数閉体になるように体を拡大すること、またはその拡大体。

数学、特に代数学において、ある体（フィールド）の要素だけでは多項式の根がすべて見つからない場合に、その多項式の根がすべてその体に属するように体を拡張する概念です。この拡張された体を元の体の代数閉包と呼びます。
