1. 高速道路

国や地域によって名称は異なりますが、一般的に、複数の車線があり、インターチェンジで出入りする、速度制限が高い主要な幹線道路を指します。特にイギリス英語圏でよく使われます。

The speed limit on the motorway is 70 mph. (高速道路の制限速度は時速70マイルです。)
