1. 教育的な講演や講義

大学や他の教育機関で行われる、あるテーマについての正式な講演や講義。

2. 指導や助言を与える行為

誰かに対して、ある行動や振る舞いについて教え諭すこと、または助言を与えること。

My parents lectured me about the importance of studying hard. (両親は私に一生懸命勉強することの重要性について説教した。)

3. 退屈または一方的な話

聞きたくない話を一方的に延々とされること。
