1. レギュラーシーズン後に行われる、優勝決定戦などの試合期間。特にスポーツにおいて、プレーオフやトーナメントを指す。

多くのスポーツにおいて、レギュラーシーズンが終了した後に行われる、優勝チームを決定するためのトーナメントや一連の試合期間を指します。特に北米のプロスポーツリーグでよく使われる用語です。
