1. 地方自治体やその他の地方公共団体が発行する債券。学校、道路、その他の公共事業の資金調達に使われます。

地方自治体（市、郡、州など）が、公共事業やサービス（学校、道路、橋、上下水道、公園など）の資金を調達するために発行する債券です。投資家は利子を受け取り、多くの場合、その利子には特定の税制優遇措置があります。比較的安全な投資と見なされることが多いです。
