1. 映画や音楽アルバムなどの、通常公開版よりも追加のシーンやトラックを含み、全体として尺が長くなっているバージョン。

映画や音楽アルバムなどのメディア作品において、通常公開されるバージョンよりも追加のシーンやトラックを含み、全体として尺が長くなっている版を指します。ディレクターズカットと似ていますが、必ずしも監督の意図が強く反映されているとは限りません。

The director released an extended cut of the film. (監督はその映画の拡張版をリリースした。)
