1. 自分の計画や意図、隠していた真意を明かす。

ポーカーなどのカードゲームで、自分の手札（持っているカード）を見せることから転じて、それまで隠していた自分の計画や意図、本心などを相手に打ち明ける状況を指します。特に交渉や駆け引きの文脈で使われることが多い表現です。

It's too early to show our hand in the negotiation. (交渉で手の内を明かすのはまだ早すぎる。)
