1. 物事やプロセスの最終段階や局面。

あるプロセスや出来事の終わり近くの時期を指します。プロジェクトの完了、病気の回復、計画の達成など、最終的な結果や結論に至る直前の重要な段階を表します。

The construction is in its last phase. (建設は最終段階に入っています。)

• is in: ～の状態にあることを示します。
• its last phase: 「その」つまり建設の「最終段階」を意味します。
