否定文や疑問文で使われ、物事が少しも当てはまらないことや、全くその可能性がないことを強調します。期待や予想に反して、最低限の程度すら満たさない場合によく使われる表現です。

I'm not in the least surprised. (私は少しも驚いていない。)
