1. 船、学校、基地などにある、病気や負傷者の手当てをする場所。

主に船の中や、寄宿学校、軍事基地といった施設内に設けられた、病気やけがをした人が治療や休養をとるための部屋や区画を指します。簡易的な病院や診療所のような役割を果たします。
