1. 森林限界、樹木限界線

山の斜面などで、樹木がそれ以上高く成長できない標高の境界線、または極地に近い地域で樹木が育たない緯度を指します。この線より上や外側では、寒さや風などの厳しい自然環境のため、樹木は生育できません。
