1. 特定の作業や活動、特に指揮、管理、監視が行われる部屋。

大規模なシステムやプロジェクトの監視、制御、調整が行われる場所を指します。軍事、緊急対応、産業、放送など、多岐にわたる分野で使われます。場合によっては「作戦室」「管制室」「指令室」などと訳されます。
