1. 十字形の教会において、主身廊と聖歌隊席の間で横に伸びる部分。袖廊、翼廊、交差廊とも呼ばれる。

十字架の形をした教会において、主身廊（nave）と交差し、両側に突き出る形で直角に伸びる部分を指します。これにより、教会全体が十字の形状を成します。多くの教会で見られる建築要素です。
