1. 生物の五界説における、光合成を行う真核生物の集合体。一般に植物と呼ばれる生物がこれに属する。

生物を分類する際の最も大きなグループの一つで、光合成を行う多細胞生物の集合体を指します。一般に植物と呼ばれているものがこのグループに含まれます。
