1. 学校や大学の全学生。また、その学生たちから成る組織。

特定の学校や大学に在籍する、すべての学生を集合的に指す言葉です。学生全体を一つの単位として捉える際に使われます。また、学生自治体や学生会といった、学生によって構成される組織を指すこともあります。

The student body voted for a new school mascot. (全学生が新しい学校のマスコットに投票しました。)
